Musical Composition & Sound Design
Decolonizing Echos - Hamburg, Germany
Tennin created and composed the original music and sound intervention for the public arts project 'Decolonizing Echo' in the city of Hamburg, Germany.
The contemporary public art project 'Decolonizing Echo' in Hamburg, Germany, brings together international perspectives to critically dissect historical narratives. Serving as a direct continuation of the Bismarck Dekolonial initiative founded by curator Yolanda Gutiérrez, this iteration features an interdisciplinary collaboration between multimedia artist Fabian Villasana (Dr. Calavera), Rwandan illustrator Dolph Banza, and artist and singer Tennin. Tennin composed and created the sonic landscape of the project and the sound intervention.
Her auditory composition functions in tandem with Banza's illustrations, serving as an ongoing artistic dialogue and critical voice addressing the controversial standing of Hamburg's Bismarck monument.
